Midland Cabinets is a local custom cabinets company serving Midkiff, TX and the surrounding Midland area. From your first call to the final walkthrough, you work with the same local crew — no call centers, no out-of-town subcontractors, just straight answers and quality work at a fair price.
Midkiff sits about 40 miles south of Midland in Upton County. Midkiff is a small oilfield community south of Midland in Upton County, out where the Permian Basin is more country than city and homes sit on real acreage. It's a long drive from Midland, but it's ranch-and-oilfield country where people invest in the homes they have and value work that's built to last over something disposable — which is exactly what custom cabinetry is. Midkiff-area projects tend toward the practical and generous: big working kitchens, pantries and mudrooms built for rural life, serious garage and shop storage, and built-ins that make use of the space acreage homes have. The climate is the same arid West Texas air as the rest of the basin, dry enough that cabinetry has to be built and finished to move with it, because wood that isn't acclimated and joined for dry conditions will shrink and gap over a summer. We plan for that with materials chosen to stay stable, proper acclimation, and joinery that doesn't rely on humidity to stay tight. Because Midkiff is one of the farthest points we serve, we plan each job to make the trip worthwhile: careful, thorough measuring up front, a build that's right the first time, and an install handled by the same crew that measured. Every project starts with an in-home measure so the cabinets fit your actual space rather than a stock size, and everything is built in our shop and set by our own people. Whether it's a full kitchen, a set of vanities, or shop and garage storage on a working property, you get real wood, honest construction, a finish made for this climate, an itemized quote before any wood is cut, and a single local shop responsible from the first measurement to the final fit.
Because we already know Upton County homes and how the dry Permian Basin climate treats real wood, we build every Midkiff job to fit the room in front of us instead of forcing it into a stock size. From the first in-home measurement to the final adjustment you work with the same local shop, and the price you’re quoted is the price you pay.
